Product Overview
The Avlite Solar MIRL Runway Light A704 is a solar-powered runway lighting solution designed to meet FAA and ICAO requirements for medium-intensity runway edge lights, runway threshold lights, runway end lights, and simple approach lighting. Built for temporary, emergency, and permanent airfield lighting applications, the A704 provides dependable visibility without trenching, cabling, generators, or grid power.
This solar MIRL runway light uses integrated solar panels, battery, electronics, and LED light source in a compact stand-alone unit. It is available in three battery sizes, with larger battery configurations rated for up to 100 hours of runtime. The system can be installed quickly with minimal airfield interruption and is designed to emit light from dusk to dawn while maintaining its battery.
Engineered for reliable airfield performance, the A704 features improved optical efficiency with high-powered LEDs, high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panels, reduced standby power consumption, and multiple battery sizes for value-for-performance. Optional wireless control supports remote operation using either 900 MHz or 2.4 GHz communication.
The A704 Solar MIRL Runway Light is suitable for medium-intensity runway lighting, low-intensity runway lighting, stopway lights, simple approach lighting, NVG operations, cover-only mode, and emergency or temporary lighting. It includes 3-step pilot control, 5-step ground control, an under 14-inch installed height, built-in carrying handle, dusk-to-dawn autonomous mode, and infrared output for NVG operations.
