The Avlite Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) AV-PAPI is a Series 3 LED PAPI system designed to provide pilots with critically accurate approach slope information. Built for commercial, military, permanent, and portable airfield applications, this LED PAPI delivers a sharp red/white transition line, low power consumption, and dependable visual guidance for runway approach operations.
The precision approach path indicator recently completed FAA L-880/881 (L) Intertek certification to AC 150/5345-28H Style A Class I, with certification pending for FAA Style B. It also completed ICAO photometric and chromaticity third-party testing, making it suitable for aviation facilities requiring reliable FAA and ICAO approach lighting performance.
Avlite’s patented LED optics help provide high-intensity, uniform output while maintaining one of the lowest power consumption levels in its class. The system is available in two-box FAA Type L-881 and four-box FAA Type L-880 configurations, with options for AC, DC, solar, constant current, wireless, manual, and pilot-activated lighting control.
