The Avlite FTS 800 Voltage Driven Airport Lighting is a voltage-driven unidirectional white airport approach light designed for runway alignment, threshold marking, and approach lighting systems. It conforms to FAA L-849 Styles A and E airport lighting requirements.

This voltage driven airport lighting system is suitable for simple REIL installations or complete approach light systems, including MALSR, MALSF, SSALSR, and ALSF I and II. The flashhead and power converter components may be mounted separately when needed to meet terrain and installation requirements.

The FTS 800 is compatible with air-to-ground radio controllers and ground-to-ground remote systems, giving airport operators flexible control options for runway approach lighting. Its modular design supports easy maintenance, while low-voltage ±500VDC operation helps extend flashtube life.

The system may be set for single-step or three-step intensity operation and is available for 50 Hz and 60 Hz systems. Optional controllers allow remote monitoring, automatic intensity matching with CCR-controlled runway lights, and internal system control.
