Product Overview
The Avlite FTS 830 Current Driven Airport Lighting is a current-driven unidirectional airport approach light designed to identify a runway end or support acquisition of an active runway. It can be used as a simple runway end identifier light (REIL) or as an addition to approach lighting systems including MALSR, MALSF, SSALSR, ALSF I, and ALSF II for runway alignment and runway threshold marking.
This current driven airport lighting system is powered and controlled from constant level current in a series line. The flashhead and power converter may be mounted together as a single unit or separately to adapt to specific terrain and installation requirements.
The FTS 830 is compatible with air-to-ground radio controllers and ground-to-ground remote systems. Its modular design supports easy maintenance, while interlocks and internal surge protection help support dependable operation in demanding airport approach lighting applications.
Designed to operate with an L-828 CCR, the FTS 830 supports intensity stepping controlled by the level of current from the constant current regulator. It can be set for single-step or three-step intensity operation and is ETL-verified to FAA AC 150/5345-51B for L-849 runway end identification light styles A and E.
