The Avlite FTS 400 Voltage Driven Airport Lighting is an omnidirectional white airport approach light designed for runway alignment, threshold marking, and approach lighting applications. This voltage driven airport lighting system conforms to FAA L-849 Styles A and E airport lighting requirements.
This voltage driven airport lighting system is suitable for use as a simple runway end identifier light (REIL) or as part of a complete omnidirectional approach lighting system (ODALS). When site conditions require it, the flashhead and power converter components can be mounted separately to accommodate terrain requirements.
The FTS 400 is compatible with air-to-ground radio controllers and ground-to-ground remote systems, giving airport operators flexible control options for runway lighting and approach guidance. Its modular design supports easy maintenance, while internal surge protection and interlocks help support reliable operation.
Designed for long flashtube life, the FTS 400 operates using low voltage ±500VDC and can be configured for single-step or three-step intensity control. The system supports high, medium, and low intensity operation for FAA and ICAO airport lighting applications.
