The Avlite Solar VFR Runway Light AV-70 is a field-proven, self-contained solar aviation light designed for VFR runway, taxiway, threshold, caution, obstruction, and temporary airstrip applications. Built as an alternative to traditional battery-powered or hard-wired aviation lights, the AV-70 helps reduce maintenance while eliminating the need for underground wiring.
This solar VFR runway light integrates its solar panel and battery system into a compact LED fixture, making it fast and easy to deploy without programming. Dual internal high-performance solar modules are angled to maximize solar collection, while the user-replaceable battery supports long-term serviceability.
The AV-70 is available with optional radio control for use with a PALC or handheld controller. Operators can remotely control ON/OFF functions, adjust light intensities, or switch between visible and IR operating modes when fitted. Optional features include radio control, IR LEDs for tactical operations, external ON/OFF switch, external battery charge port, and manual operation.
Designed for reliable outdoor aviation use, the AV-70 features ultra-high-intensity LEDs, an IP68 waterproof rating, and no globe changes.
