Product Overview

The Avlite FTS 430 Current Driven Airport Lighting is a current-driven omnidirectional airport approach light designed to identify a runway end or the acquisition of an active runway. It can be used as a simple runway end identifier light (REIL) or as part of a complete omnidirectional approach lighting system (ODALS) for runway alignment and runway threshold marking.

This current driven airport lighting system is powered and controlled by constant level current in a series line. The flash head and power converter may be mounted together as a single unit or separately to adapt to specific terrain and installation requirements.

The FTS 430 supports single-step or three-step intensity operation and is compatible with air-to-ground radio controllers and ground-to-ground remote systems. Its modular design supports easier maintenance, while interlocks and internal surge protection help provide reliable operation for airport approach lighting applications.

Designed for longer flashtube life, the FTS 430 operates using low voltage ±500VDC. It is ETL-verified to FAA AC 150/5345-51B for L-849 Styles B and F and complies with ICAO lighting regulations.
