Metal halide construction floodlights require a four to five-minute warm-up time to reach maximum brightness and a cool-down time of up to fifteen minutes before re-lighting. When using any metal halide floodlight with transportable generators, it is suggested to have the lights OFF when starting and before stopping the generator.
